Wasted some hours to figure out why debugging a Tomcat web app using NetBeans on Linux running on VirtualBox on the Mac is realllly slooowwww. Enough memory everywhere, right JVM settings …. turns out it is the KDE integration: as soon as NetBeans has deployed the app to Tomcat, by default it starts the system…
