I used to think “Mexican” is not about race, until I noticed how kids in school use the term: as a synonym for Hispanic or generally “brown speaking something like Spanish”. /cc @Dilbert_Daily

@att requires you to let 3rd parties track you on their website, otherwise you can’t pay your bill. That’s why their site doesn’t work with @firefox tracking protection enabled.

Those of us favoring decentralized tech/… should be in favor of #Brexit, right? If not, why not?
@1and1 demands payment for a subscription that they have acknowledged has been canceled. Even @GoDaddy is better.
I started hiking about an hour before sunrise today. I learned: 1) hand-held flashlight is much better at switching between illuminating what’s right in front of your feet (like a root you are about to stumble over) and where the trail is going. 2) if there is slight fog, head-mounted light produces fogginess right in front of your eyes. 3) bring both. 4) pitch dark does not mean it is necessarily cold. I was sweating rather quickly. 5) you have no sense of direction whatsoever (duh!) Bring a compass! 6) I could stop using the flashlight about 15min before official sunrise, in a forest in a valley. It took a long time after though before I saw the sun. 7) the forest is really quiet at night. 8) failed to find any monsters, darn!
