The official Raspberry Pi Zero box is very cute, but wholly impractical: can’t replace SDCard without disassembling the whole thing.

The perils of Perl. Apparently a spurious paste. Screen Shot 2017-10-17 at 17.20.38

Totally impressed by my new Prusa 3D printer. Printed a 1cm square tray with 1mm wall thickness. Actual measured outside dimensions: 10.04mm and 10.03mm. Wall: 1.00 / 0.99 / 0.99 / 1.00mm. My caliper changes dimensions more just by my holding it in my hands!

California, you are getting a little scary here. This is the current “red flag” aka “if something starts burning it will spread quickly and we probably can’t do anything about it” map. Screen Shot 2017-10-11 at 14.18.27

The camp fire smell has arrived in the South Bay. Unfortunately it’s Napa County on fire, 100mi away.

I broke down and ordered a 3D printer. Currently being shipped from the Czech Republic. In the meantime, I spend my evening hours attempting to learn how to do 3D CAD. What should I make first?
