{"id":192,"date":"2007-09-20T13:39:10","date_gmt":"2007-09-20T21:39:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/netmesh.info\/jernst\/uncategorized\/six-apart-open-social-graph-project-announced"},"modified":"2007-09-20T13:39:10","modified_gmt":"2007-09-20T21:39:10","slug":"six-apart-open-social-graph-project-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/upon2020.com\/blog\/2007\/09\/six-apart-open-social-graph-project-announced\/","title":{"rendered":"Six Apart: Open Social Graph Project Announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Finally, the rather intriguing social graph aggregation project that <a href=\"http:\/\/bradfitz.com\/\">Brad Fitzpatrick<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidrecordon.com\/\">David Recordon<\/a> have been working was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sixapart.com\/about\/news\/2007\/09\/were_opening_th.html\">announced publicly<\/a> on Six Apart&#8217;s blog today by David.<\/p>\n<p>Go ahead and read the long post; also compare the more <a href=\"http:\/\/bradfitz.com\/social-graph-problem\/\">technical paper<\/a> they wrote earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Let me first say that I have no idea what Six Apart&#8217;s business plan is around this project; hopefully, their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sixapart.com\/about\/news\/2007\/09\/six_apart_has_a.html\">new management<\/a> is paying more attention to this rather significant project than they were to <a href=\"http:\/\/openid.net\/\">OpenID<\/a> (which to many observers, including myself, seemed to have never come in a C-level meeting there.)<\/p>\n<p>But, if they have their stuff together, and they can execute in the business sense, this project could become the single most important reason Six Apart would become a very attractive acquisition candidate six to twelve months down the road.<\/p>\n<p>It will be interesting to watch &#8230; certainly Six Apart is lucky to have David back, who is now the main engine for the project as I understand it, and who, shall we say, has &quot;a few&quot; ;-) talents &#8230; <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Finally, the rather intriguing social graph aggregation project that Brad Fitzpatrick and David Recordon have been working was announced publicly on Six Apart&#8217;s blog today by David.
